The aluminium profile 40x40 mm is a very popular and often used profile. Special shape with four 10 mm slots in a T shape and a weight of 1,24 kg/m results in an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. In a cross-section of the profile, there is a hole of 7,4 mm ready for machining of the M8 thread. To achieve the best strength of thread the thread should be rolled (not cut).
